How Slots and Engagement Work

How do I unlock more submission slots?

Turbo is a give-and-get community. Every time you authentically engage with a Pin in the Turbo Feed — saving it to a relevant board, leaving a thoughtful comment, or clicking through to the content — you earn the ability to submit more of your own Pins. The more consistently you engage, the more slots you have available.

What counts as authentic engagement?

Saves, comments, and click-through visits all count. The key word is authentic — Turbo is designed for real creators genuinely engaging with content they find valuable. Superficial or spammy engagement is quickly identified and moderated by the community.

How long does it take to see results after submitting a Pin?

It varies. Some Pins start getting engagement quickly after being submitted; others take a little longer depending on community activity and how relevant your content is to other members' interests. Turbo works best when you're consistently engaged — adding great Pins regularly and participating in the feed over time rather than in a single burst.

Does Turbo guarantee engagement on every Pin I submit?

No — and that's by design. Turbo community members only engage with Pins they genuinely find valuable. Pins that resonate with the community get more engagement; Pins that aren't a good fit may receive less. This is what keeps Turbo's engagement signals authentic and meaningful to Pinterest's algorithm.

Content and Moderation

What kinds of Pins perform best in Turbo?

Pins that are visually strong, link to genuinely useful content, and are relevant to a broad base of creators tend to do best. Great Turbo candidates include: - Pins linked to detailed blog posts, tutorials, or guides - Product or recipe Pins with strong imagery - Seasonal or trend-relevant content - Pins already getting some traction on Pinterest

Why was my Pin removed from the Turbo Feed?

Turbo has community moderation built in. Other members can hide, block, or report Pins that feel low-quality, spammy, or irrelevant. If your Pin was removed, it's most likely because it didn't meet the community's quality bar. Try submitting a different Pin that's more visually polished or links to stronger content.

What types of content are NOT allowed in Turbo?

Turbo is intended for high-quality, creator-owned content. Content that is spammy, low-effort, links to low-quality or thin pages, or violates Pinterest's community guidelines will be removed. Repeatedly submitting low-quality content may result in restrictions on your Turbo access.

Can I submit the same Pin more than once?

Once a Pin has cycled through Turbo, you can submit fresh versions (new designs or updated images) of that content. Resubmitting the exact same Pin repeatedly is not recommended and may be flagged by the community.

Turbo and Your Pinterest Strategy

Does using Turbo violate Pinterest's guidelines?

No. Turbo drives real, authentic engagement from genuine human creators. It is not a bot, an automated engagement scheme, or an artificial engagement ring. The engagement that comes through Turbo is the same type of organic engagement Pinterest rewards.

How does Turbo interact with Pinterest's algorithm?

The saves, comments, and click-through visits that your Pins earn through Turbo are real engagement signals. Pinterest's algorithm uses these signals to decide how broadly to distribute your content. Higher engagement = more impressions = more reach. Turbo is designed to amplify this cycle for Pins that have the content quality to back it up.

How should I use Turbo alongside SmartPin?

They're a natural pair. SmartPin generates a fresh Pin for your URLs every 7 days. Once a SmartPin draft looks strong, submit it to Turbo to give it an early engagement boost. This combination — automatic fresh Pin creation + community-powered engagement amplification — is one of the most effective Pinterest growth strategies you can run on autopilot.

How often should I use Turbo?

Turbo works best as a regular habit rather than a one-time effort. Most successful Turbo members spend 5–10 minutes a few times a week engaging with Pins in the feed and adding their strongest new Pins. That small, consistent investment compounds over time.

Technical Questions
