Communities are run by independent Tailwind members, so we can’t say why you may or may not have been accepted to join as membership approval is at the Community owner and admin’s discretion. However, we do our best to encourage Community admins to quickly process membership requests!

If you’re on the Communities free plan you can only have a few open join requests at a time. To free up an Open Community Request slot, you can always cancel a Communities join request. To do so:

  1. Go to the Community page (located in the pop-out menu in the left hand navigation).

2. Click Find a Community on the top navigation on the page.

3. Click the tab that says Open Community Requests in the center of the page. Here you will see a list of Community that you have requested to join. Select the one that you would like to cancel and click the Cancel Request button.

5. Confirm that you want to cancel by clicking Cancel Request in the pop up window.

You will now have one free Open Community Request slot so you can request to join another Community!

Helpful tips:
Remember that all Communities are managed by Tailwind members, just like you. They may be slow to accept new members, so a little patience can be very helpful!

We suggest when requesting to join, explaining why you’re interested, what kind of content you have to share with the Community which is relevant to its niche, and of course, being friendly doesn’t hurt!
