To make sure you send out the best version of your email campaign, you should test it thoroughly before hitting that send button🕵️‍♂️. Different browsers and platforms may display your content differently, which can affect the recipient's experience.

Here's how to test your campaign and what you need to verify before you send it. ✉️

How to Preview and Test Your Campaign

Open your campaign and begin testing by clicking on the eye icon on the top right side of the email designer.

Note: You can now see how your campaign will display on both desktop, tablet, and mobile devices:

Does the preview look good? Time to test the email to see how recipients will see it. Click the arrow in the upper right corner of the email designer and select Send test email to send yourself a test:

Helpful Tip: You may also want to send the message to a friend to help check for typos!

Every time you make changes to your campaign, you should send yourself another test. Always double-check your messaging!

What You Should Verify Before Sending

As you proofread your content in both the email designer and your test email, here are some points to consider:

1. View

  • Check the desktop and mobile version to make sure the information displays properly.

2. Header

  • Is there a link to show the email in the browser?

  • Is it explained to the subscriber that he/she subscribed to the newsletter?

3. Email Body

  • Do all the images display properly?

  • When you mouse over the images, is there a clear alternate text that pops up?

  • Do all the links work?

  • Are the links taking you to the right place?

  • Do special characters display correctly?

4. Footer

  • Do you have an unsubscribe link [UNSUBSCRIBE ARTICLE]?

  • Do you have the [CLIENT.ADDRESS] tag?

Send Your Campaign

When you've finished testing and proofreading, you can continue to the next step by clicking the Continue button:

Before you send, triple-check the Campaign Details and choose the recipients:

  • Campaign Name: Choose the name of the campaign.

  • From Name and Email: Make sure the sender is recognizable.

  • To: Choose the right list.

  • Subject: The subject should be clear and not contain any typos.

Now you can click that Send button with confidence! 🎉

Choose the Send Date and Time

If you’re ready to send it now, you can select the Send Now option and click the Send button.

If you'd prefer to schedule your email to send later, select the Specify a time to send option and enter a date and time to schedule your email for later. The campaign can be scheduled up to two calendar years in advance (the current and the next year). Once you've scheduled your email, click the Schedule Campaign button.
