Here's how to get started:
Navigate to the SmartPin Dashboard (by clicking on the SmartPin button in the Pin Scheduler or Dashboard)
Add the URL for the page you’d like to create Pins for (e.g., blog posts, product pages, or articles). Optional: Add relevant keywords or phrases that will be used when generating a Pin title & description.
TIP: SmartPin will work best with URLs to specific pages, not just the root domain URL. We recommend setting up SmartPins for each specific page that you want to generate Pins from (ex: yoursite.com/specificproduct)
After a few minutes, a Pin draft will be generated on the Pin Scheduler page - identified with a 'Made-For-You' tag. To change the Pin image, hover over the image and select Change Pin Design to select from one of the 4 available options. OR: Click Change Media to swap out the Pin graphic entirely.
Review the generated Pin's title/description, and select your board(s). Click Schedule to add the Pin to your next available open time slot.
Sit back and relax! SmartPin will automatically add unique, high-quality Fresh Pins into your drafts for that URL every 7 days.

Can I change or edit the SmartPin design?
You can choose between one of 4 generated Pin designs OR upload your own media entirely. On Basic (template-based) SmartPins you can also change the colors, fonts, and layout at no additional cost. On Premium (AI-generated) SmartPins, editing the design re-generates the image and uses another 7 credits.
Can I preset my brand colors and fonts for all SmartPins?
No. SmartPin designs do not inherit the Brand Settings from Tailwind Create — the two aren't connected, so there's no way to preset brand colors or fonts across all of your SmartPins. Instead, you customize each SmartPin draft individually after it's generated. On Basic (template-based) SmartPins you can change the colors, fonts, and layout at no additional cost. On Premium (AI-generated) SmartPins, any design change re-generates the image and uses another 7 credits.
Can I set the Pin title myself?
Yes. SmartPin supports manual title generation options, and Basic and Premium SmartPins also let you change the title text after a Pin has been generated.
Can you see and change which image SmartPin will use for a current URL?
Yes! You have the option to select which image is being pulled from the URL.
How does SmartPin choose the base image it uses?
SmartPin attempts to pick the best image for Pinterest from the provided URL, based on size, dimension, if the images have text on them, and other factors.
How often will SmartPins be generated?
A new draft will be automatically generated for that URL every 7 days until that SmartPin is toggled off (deactivated), this is not customizable. However, you can request new SmartPins on demand by going to the SmartPin Dashboard and clicking “Get a Pin now"
How is SmartPin priced?
SmartPin pricing depends on the design tier. Basic SmartPins cost 3 Ghostwriter AI credits per generation; because Basic designs are template-based, once a draft is generated you can change its colors, fonts, and layout options without using any additional credits. Premium SmartPins cost 7 Ghostwriter AI credits per generation; because Premium designs are AI-generated images, any change — colors, image, style, or title text — triggers a new AI generation and uses another 7 credits. What happens to my credits if a SmartPin fails to generate?
If a SmartPin generation fails, your credits are automatically refunded — no action needed on your part. This applies to all tiers (Basic, Premium, and Template Match).
Can I have SmartPins across multiple domains?
Yes - SmartPin will be enabled for the entire Tailwind account and you can create SmartPins for any URL, including multiple domains.
How do I delete or deactivate a SmartPin?
To delete a SmartPin, open it in the SmartPin Dashboard, click the ⋮ (More actions) menu, and select Delete SmartPin. To pause a SmartPin without deleting it — stopping new drafts from being generated while keeping it set up for later — use the active/inactive toggle in the same edit view.
