July 4th, 2019 - 12:45PM - Pinterest Connection Issue Resolved

Pinterest still appears to be having intermittent errors. Pins are still being published, but some may fail. We'll update this page once these intermittent issues subside. Due to it being a holiday in the United States for Pinterest, we can't say for sure when it to expect full resolution.

Please see the update below for instructions on how to re-queue any pins that fail to publish - they won't be lost!

July 3rd, 2019 - 11:03PM - Pinterest Connection Issue Resolved

We're seeing that Pinterest is coming back online, and your pins should continue to publish, and you should be able to reconnect your account to Tailwind if you had been prompted to during this period. Some accounts are fully updated, but there will be a slight delay before we're able to catch up on all the data that's backed up for every account.

Pins that were set to publish recently will still publish, but most Pins will have been failed to post. You can always view your failed Pins on the "Scheduled Pins" page. You'll see how many Pins are currently failed at the top:

If you click this icon, you'll be given the option to re-queue all of your failed Pins in one click.

April 24th, 2019 - 11:00AM - Browser extension issues resolved (Firefox and Chrome) and pending (Safari)

This issue has been fixed through an extension update. This update is currently live on Chrome and Firefox, and pending review from Apple for Safari.

In order to ensure that your Tailwind extension has updated, please follow these instructions:

For Safari:

The Safari extension update is currently waiting for approval from Apple. This process can take up to a few days. In the mean time I suggest using Chrome or Firefox on your Mac.

For Chrome:

Close Chrome completely (Hold CMD+Q in Mac or close all of the Chrome windows on PC) and re-open Chrome. Chrome should automatically update the Tailwind extension when it restarts. You can check the Chrome extension version by right-clicking the Tailwind icon at the top of Chrome and clicking “manage extensions":

Then find Tailwind on the extensions page and ensure that it says version 3.4.9.

For Firefox:

Close Firefox completely (Hold CMD+Q in Mac or close all of the Chrome windows on PC) and re-open Firefox. Right-click the Tailwind icon at the top of Firefox and click “manage extension"

Click the gear icon and click “Check for Updates”. After updating, ensure that the version number is 3.4.9.

Once you have updated to 3.4.9 you should see the Tailwind icon on your Pins again on!

April 17th, 2019 - Instagram API outage update - partially resolved

We've learned that Instagram is failing to create posts if they have a location tag. We've temporarily created a workaround where, in the instance that Instagram fails to publish your post for this reason, Tailwind will retry the post without the location tag. After testing this for a few hours, we've found that this has fully resolved the problem.

We're still working with Instagram on this issue and waiting for them to completely fix this problem. In the meantime, your posts should begin publishing as they were before!

If you experienced a failed post recently, you'll be able to view it on the Scheduled Posts page. From here, you'll be able to re-queue any failed posts.

April 15th, 2019 - Instagram API issues are causing Instagram Auto Posts to fail

This article will be updated when new details become available.

Since the weekend of  April 12th we have been experiencing a high number of failed posts to Instagram due to API errors. We are working with Instagram to resolve this issue. This problem is currently affecting all of Instagram's partner tools.

In the mean time, if you are experiencing failed posts using Auto Post, you can switch to a reminder method (iOS Notifications or SMS Notifications) to continue publishing without issues.

In case you have auto posts fail, they will appear in the "Failed Posts" section of your Scheduled Posts page to be rescheduled.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.
