Was your transaction declined when trying to upgrade a Tailwind account? See some possible reasons here.

Tailwind accepts all major credit and debit cards which have a 16 digit number on the front. This includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express & more.

Your payment method may be declined or shown as invalid if:

  • it is a different type of card (for instance, one with 15 digits)

  • you used is a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reloadable gift card (unfortunately the companies that issue these gift cards usually block online subscription services like Tailwind from working)

  • your bank has placed a block on subscription services or foreign currency charges (we bill in USD)

What should you do if your transaction isn't going through:

  1. Try double checking that you've entered all of your payment details in correctly (sometimes you may have simply made a small mistake - we all do!).

  2. Your transaction may also be declined for insufficient funds in the account, or if your financial institution has blocked it for a certain reason (for instance, they may flag it as suspicious). If you can't get the transaction to work, and you believe it should go through - we suggest you contact the card issuer to ask what's wrong. They will be able to explain to you the reason, and may be able to remove any blocks on it from being processed. Most cards have toll-free phone numbers available on the back side of the cards which you can call to inquire about any blocks on your payments.

  3. If possible, you might try using a different card from another bank to see if the transaction will go through.
